Software Protection or Software Destruction?

I downloaded the trial version PC Guard for Win32 from above link.
Tested it on Notepad.exe.

Notepad.exe totally failed to run.

Draw your own conclusions.
For me, I promptly deleted the downloaded PC Guard.
